About Divine Connection
Divine Connection exists to do one thing well: to work through what the Bible says about God keeping his people, using the same courtroom and covenant language Scripture itself uses, in plain English, without hype. There are a great many pages online that promise supernatural safety in exchange for a prayer said a certain number of times. This is not one of them. Our aim here is careful reading that leaves you steadier, not more anxious.
Who writes it
The studies are written by Pastor Michael Scofield, who has spent years teaching Scripture in local churches and sitting with people in the hardest seasons of their lives, in hospital corridors and at more than one graveside, including the seasons where the prayer for rescue was not answered the way anyone hoped. That pastoral experience shapes everything here. It is the reason the series includes a study called "When Protection Feels Absent," and the reason no page will promise you a pain-free life. Real ministry does not get to skip the hard chapter. Neither does this site.
Every study is written personally, then read back slowly and edited for accuracy and plain speech before it is published. Where a study leans on a Bible passage, the passage is quoted so you can weigh it yourself rather than take anyone's word for it. Disagreement is welcome. The goal is not a following; it is that you read the Bible more closely than you did before you arrived.
Why the legal framing
Some readers wonder about the "legal" language across the site, the talk of courts, verdicts, and advocates. This is not a marketing angle. It is the frame the biblical writers themselves reached for. Satan is named the accuser. Jesus is called our advocate. Believers are told to stand and to resist. Taking that vocabulary seriously, rather than smoothing it into vague comfort, is what makes these studies distinctive, and, we hope, more useful.
What we believe about protection
- God genuinely guards those who take refuge in him, and often shields them in body and circumstance.
- The deepest protection secures your standing before God and cannot be lost by a bad week or undone by an accuser.
- Faithful people still suffer, and any teaching that cannot hold that truth is not safe to lean on when it matters.
- Scripture, not technique, is the ground under all of it. Verses are read in context, not used as spells.
